Capture Your Videos With Blurry Background

January 6, 2012

I just want to fiddle with this camera because the fact is, is that I’ve been wanting numerous new things in the past several months and I finally observed something I really like and has been performing effectively. Now, in this video, I’m going to share with you very, very shortly a little tip that I’ve been playing around with. And the thing is, is that a lot of people have been asking me how do I get this little blurry blurry background in plenty of my videos and get the focal point on just me.

Going back a several months ago, I was kind of organizing about replacing to a new camera and I’ve used the Kodak Zi8 for quite a while and you’ve seen a lot of my videos where everything’s in HD and the quality is fairly good. It’s exactly that you don’t have that nice blurry background outcome and also focus on the camera. And also too, I wanted a great deal of extra devices such as lighting and also ensuring that I have the right sides from time to time to ensure that the camera records it appropriately.

Whereas this particular camera that I’m currently using now, which is the Canon T3i, I don’t really need to do such things. I don’t need much lighting on my face at this point in time. It is all totally applied by natural light and the adjustment of the camera. That’s the strong thing about obtaining an SLR camera just like the Canon T3i.

So the whole idea is if you have a Canon SLR camera or any kind of camera, what you need to do is get a lens with a smaller F stop. What that means is actually the whole size of your lens and the smaller the whole size, the more it focuses primarily on your point that is my face and let anything else blur in the background. And that’s to do with what we call the term aperture. The lower the F stop, the higher it is and the price.

It jumps up considerably in price from 1.8 down to 1.4. And the price variation is roughly about $100 for this lens and approximately $300 for that other lens. You might see just a minor little quality distinction. I have seen the minor little quality distinction but I wasn’t thinking about paying that extra because I don’t think my viewers like yourself would probably even detect. So really that’s how you do it. Just get a separate different lens. Don’t forget to have an SLR camera and a fixed lens makes a distinction because then you don’t have to worry about improving the zoom and all that stuff and an F1.8 is more than adequate enough to obtain that nice blur.
